Okay someone needs to address this issue. What the actual fuck did they do to his hair? Why did they feel the need to give him ringlet curls and then stick a mound of hair extensions on top of his head that don’t even match his hair colour? Seriously?

Bourke St MYER

For all of you guys in melbourne, I just came back from installing a mannequin VM display in the bourke st myer. It’s on level 6 and it’s a vacuum display. Not the greatest thing in the world, nor my best piece of work, but it’s something. The mannequin’s name is “SUCKING SALLY” no joke. The VM guys at Myer named her. lol Anyway it’s there if you wanted to have a look. It was done by me and 2 other girls. There are some other really cool ones in the toaster section, juicer section and tableware section all on level 6 by the other people in my class so check those out as well. I might put up some photographs in a bit.

the one thing I wanna know about Andrej Pejic is whether he misses goon bags on clotheslines since leaving melbourne. Or maybe just goon in general? I mean how can you have a good time without goon? You just can’t -that’s the thing

I finally found a place to buy fresh sashimi grade fish in melbourne

After an unsuccessful trip to Box Hill market and contemplating driving to Victoria Markets I finally found a place that sold sashimi grade fish at ‘The Well’ shopping centre in Camberwell (off Bourke St) there’s a sushi place that sells fresh fish called The Fish And Sushi Well (conveniently enough). You have to ask for sashimi grade salmon/bluefin tuna etc. because they usually don’t have it on display and it’s a bit more expensive (obviously) but it’s worth it. They have a section of frozen sashimi grade fish as well but I prefer using fresh fish. I also visited Suzaran on Bourke rd to get the rest of the Japanese ingredients that you can’t find anywhere else like takuan, fried bean curd pockets (inari), and Japanese mayonaise. They also had some fillets for sashimi but they didn’t look as fresh. This store also has a sushi bar attached to it.

And that’s the end of my little ‘Melbourne sushi hub’ report.
